CTK Upcoming Events

We have a busy Karate calendar in the second half of this term with extra classes, workshops, gradings, summer fair demonstrations and a tournament. Please see below for some details of the upcoming events:


Half Term

27th May - 3rd June

There are no weekly classes this week (no classes in Mortlake on either half term weekend).



Half Term Classes

Wednesday 31st May

St. Luke’s House, 270 Sandycombe Road, Kew, TW9 3NP

5:00-6:00pm - Kata

6:00-7:00pm - Kumite


Sensei Tom is in the JKA National Competition Squad and is a highly respected national competitor and medalist. We are lucky to have his experience in our club and I would encourage all students that are interested in competing to attend these classes. More details can be found in Sensei Tom’s newsletter.




Sensei Aimee Karate Workshop

Sunday 11th June The Old Powerstation, 121A Mortlake High Street, SW14 8SN 9.30-11:00am Following the enthusiastic response to her recent workshop, we are delighted to be able to welcome you to another special event - The CTK Workshop with Sensei Aimee. This 1 1/2 hour session will focus on both kata and sparring (no experience necessary). It's a great opportunity for all abilities to energise their training and commitment with exciting new drills and top techniques from a CTK lead instructor and national medallist. PLEASE BRING: Water Bottle and sparring kit if you have one PLEASE WEAR: Your full karate kit All belt colours are welcome, and we recommend that you are 7 years+ (due to the duration and intensity of the training content.)





Summer Fair Demonstrations


We are happy to confirm that our very popular Summer Fair Demonstrations are booked again this year. All students are welcome to attend these demonstrations regardless of age or experience level.

17th June - Kew Fete - 4:20pm, Kew Green 1st July - Mortlake Fair - 3:00pm, Mortlake Green 8th July - Barnes Fair - 10:30am, Barnes Green

8th July - St. Margaret’s Fair - 3:30pm, Moor Mead

We meet 15 minutes before the times above at the performance area wearing Karate suits.



CTK Double Chance Tournament

Sunday 2nd July The Old Powerstation, 121A Mortlake High Street, SW14 8SN

This is a very exciting new tournament being organised by Sensei Tom and you will receive an email with full details very soon.
